WSHRMA July Newsletter Print

President's Report

Summer has arrived! The weather is warming up and the days are getting longer. I hope you all get to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones this month.

Thank you to our wonderful members for supporting the SHRM Foundation during the June program. I hope all that attended gained some valuable information on long term care benefit solutions.

I mentioned in my June message that we were considering the idea of a summer membership social event. After further consideration of the current climate and conversation with our Diamond sponsor, we have decided to postpone a summer event. We will be looking to add a social hour to the end of our Fall Conference instead.

As always, please feel free to reach out to any of your WSHRMA board members if you need assistance. We are here for you.

SHRM Research, in collaboration with Workplace Initiative By Understood, conducted a study in 2019 to understand organizations attitudes about workers with disabilities and knowledge of disability inclusion in the workplace.
