Fall is here in the Pacific Northwest. It’s getting cooler, the leaves are turning and it’s getting darker much earlier. Soon we will be making the transition from pumpkin spice to cinnamon dulce. I hope that you all had a wonderful Halloween celebration even though it may have looked very different this year. I want to send a special thank you to John Bower for organizing our virtual Haunted Happy Hour. Everyone in attendance was in costume and a good time was had by all!
Please don’t forget to register for our November virtual meeting. This month, the event will be on Tuesday, November 10th since the 11th is a federal holiday. We will have a representative from L&I providing overtime exemption training.
I want to thank everyone that took time to vote for the 2021 WSHRMA Board of Directors! As required by our bylaws, the slate of candidates was sent out in advance and a vote was called for. The slate of candidates was approved as presented and will be sworn in during a December event. I’m honored to introduce the 2021 Board of Directors.

This year was very challenging for us. It brought a lot of change an uncertainty. As a board we have remained committed to our members and our partners. It looks like at least the early part of 2021 is going to look very similar and we would love your feedback/input. Have you enjoyed the virtual programming? Do you have any ideas that you would like us to consider implementing in 2021 that perhaps you’ve seen work in other organizations? We are here to serve you!

The webinar will begin with a 45-minute presentation by outreach specialists from L&I’s Employment Standards program, followed by 15 minutes for questions and answers.
